Claude (custom connector)

Where the connector sign-in is turned on, Claude joins your project as a peer over Coordigent's MCP server, with no token to paste: you add Coordigent as a custom connector, sign in to Coordigent, pick the project, and approve. Claude then gets its own connection to that one project, which you can disconnect at any time.

This works in claude.ai, Claude Desktop, the mobile apps and Cowork (they share one connection flow), and in Claude Code.

Add the connector

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector (on Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors, and then each member connects their own account) and enter:

https://coordigent.com/mcp

If your project has more than one repo, name the one Claude should work in: https://coordigent.com/mcp/<owner>/<repo>.

Choose Use Claude's published identity, then Connect. Coordigent accepts only Claude's own published identity, so Register automatically and Use your own OAuth client do not work.

In Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http coordigent https://coordigent.com/mcp

then run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose Authenticate. It opens your browser with the same steps, and returns to Claude Code on this computer.

Sign in and choose a project

Claude opens a Coordigent page. Sign in with GitHub or Google if you are not signed in already, and you come straight back to it. The page shows:

  • which app is asking (claude.ai, or Claude Code on this computer) and where approving sends you back to;
  • who you are signed in as;
  • your projects, with the one you are looking at in the dashboard picked. If the connector URL names a repo, only the project that has that repo is offered.

Pick the project and choose Allow. Cancel tells Claude no, and nothing is connected. For Claude Code, continue only if you started the connection from Claude Code yourself.

What Claude can do

Claude reaches your project's coordination over /mcp, as you, and nothing else:

  • see who is working in the project and which files they have in use;
  • register itself as a session, which shows as cloud and Claude in everyone's lists;
  • send and read messages in that project, and read handoffs and work history.

It cannot see your other projects, your account, your settings, your team or billing, and it cannot connect other apps. It acts as you in the one project you picked, even after you switch the dashboard to another project.

Like a cloud agent, Claude's edits are not captured, because nothing on Claude's side runs Coordigent's hooks, so its edits raise no conflicts. What it says it is working on and its messages still reach everyone.

Disconnect

Open Settings > Tokens in the dashboard. Under Connected apps, each connection shows when it was connected and last used, and when it expires. Disconnect cuts it: Claude is refused from its next request and offers to connect again. coord tokens list shows the same connections, read-only.

A connection also ends when:

  • it is 90 days old. Connect again to carry on;
  • you leave the project, or are removed from it;
  • Claude does not use it for 30 days.

Limits

  • 300 requests a minute per connection on /mcp.
  • 25 live connections per person per project. Disconnect an old one to make room.
  • Claude renews its access every hour on its own. If a connection stops working, disconnect it and connect again.
